Astrology is a Mathematical Statistical Science, researching and recording phenomena that take place mainly in our Solar System and cause reactions on Earth and in humans. The best-known examples, and probably the first ones that once gave the impetus for this science to begin, are the tides of the sea and the menstrual cycle of women, both of which depend on the Moon.

Art

It is also an art, since the recording of phenomena, with the help of Statistics, was used as a means of predicting events. Furthermore, it can also be characterized as an art by the way in which the astrologer combines these observations to achieve, through creative inspiration and contemplation, the best possible prognosis.

Usefulness

The main usefulness of Astrology is summarized in the understanding of the Delphic oracle: Man, know thyself. But the stars only predispose, they do not force - it is the attitude of the soul that determines the outcome, as Alan Leo said.

It cannot meditate on a natal chart, nor speak with Divine-Solar Word to our Soul and the deepest layers of our consciousness, so as to reveal to us the causes hidden in the far past of our Existence, in this one, but also in all our previous lives. Which causes cause the actions we manifest today in the present, most often unconsciously, and become the chains that we will carry in future lives, and we will break them and be freed, only when we realize the existence of these chains, correcting ourselves with the revelations of Astrology, studying it ourselves personally.

Depending on each person's evolutionary level, of course. You can't make a perfect statue unless you carve and polish the marble carefully and with immense patience. In the same way, you can't say anything to a soul armored with prejudices and useless knowledge, who regurgitates the news they see on television. These souls must first go through the suffering of awareness through countless meaningless lives, until they are forced to mature and evolve, or be permanently lost from the Existential Becoming of the Universe.
