The zodiac signs are the division into 12 equal parts of the apparent rotational circular path of the Sun, as seen from Earth, starting at the Vernal Equinox, when day is equal to night. Essentially, it is the 12-month Solar Calendar that we still follow today, although today the months do not begin when the Sun changes sign, due to political and religious wars of the past.

Each zodiac sign is 30 degrees long in the entire circle, and we should not be confused by the similarity of their names to the constellations, whose lengths are different. Another zodiac sign, another constellation.

They represent, in general terms, the physical and mental characteristics of those born in each of these 12 equal sections, taking images from nature and the animal kingdom.

Thus, the first sign is Aries, because it has been observed that those born during this time are impulsive, enthusiastic, combative, etc. like a ram. In the plant kingdom, it represents the struggle of a seed that sprouts from the earth and fights to survive.

The second sign is Taurus, because those born at this time are larger, more massive and stable. The seed has grown, that is, it has survived, it is no longer a feather in the wind, it withstands the blows of the wind and fate, and it establishes its presence in the environment.

The third sign is Gemini, which represents tall, slender people who wonder about everything they see and want to know what it is. The seed that sprouted in Aries grew and stabilized in Taurus, and now begins to see further and learn about everything it sees, in Gemini. And there it discovers that it has a dual nature, male and female, day and night, life and death, and through this duality, it reproduces itself.

In the fourth sign, Cancer, after having experienced good and evil, he begins to be cautious, walking slowly, carefully and with sideways steps, like a crab, because he is still too small to take on strong opponents.

He does this to Leo, because now he is mature, and at the height of his power. Now he wants to fall in love and taste the good things of life.

In Virgo he learns Moderation, because excess can kill him. He discovers that no matter how strong he was in Leo, there will always be someone stronger.

Thus, in Libra, he becomes flexible, adaptable, and seeks a permanent companionship to perpetuate himself and not be lost.

In Scorpio, he has children, rejoices in them, and is ready to do anything to protect them.

In Sagittarius, he begins to philosophize, he has grown up enough, and he wonders where he is going and what awaits him from here on out.

In Capricorn, he believes he has learned everything, observes the world and its happenings from above, feels like a king in his world, and avoids unnecessary events.

In Aquarius, the world calls him again, and he considers it his duty to respond and help those who need his help.

In Pisces, the circle of life is about to close and return to where it started, and it sinks into reminiscence and nostalgia.

Essentially, we all have all 12 zodiac signs within us, but they appear and act differently in each person, depending on our month of birth.

The word zodiac can be interpreted in many ways in Greek, although until I revealed them, most people only knew one, the simplest one, which means animals, and which was used derogatorily by opponents of astrology for its devotees.
